Ultrasonography and Echocardiology

We offer advanced medical ultrasound imaging to help us diagnose your pet's medical condition without the trauma of invasive exploratory surgery. Ultrasound imaging can give us a clear and precise format from which to determine the most effective treatment options for your pet. Most frequently we use the ultrasound to examine the heart, and the integrity of organs in the abdominal cavity like the kidney, bladder, liver, spleen and pancreas. Ultrasound tells us a lot about the organs density, structure, even the blood flow within. Sometimes we also use ultrasound as a guide when we have to take samples from organs for further histopathology.

Echocardiogram is basically ultrasound of the heart. On top of the basic heart check up in consult room, echocardiogram tells us more about the heart's structure, chamber size, pumping capacity, valves functions, blood flow etc. It has now become a routine diagnostic procedure for evaluating patients' heart problem severity and the need of specific heart medications.
